The biggest outdoor show on campus just got even bigger.. On Saturday August 27, Legends is bringing you a party that will last all day and all night long. We are transforming the B1 parking lot, just north of Legends of Notre Dame into the site of campus's biggest party to date. Kick off the school year right. A meager $10 investment guarantees you six straight hours of excitement. Whatever you want, we'll have it. There will be a beer garden and food from a variety of different vendors. There will be boatloads and games and attractions. And, Oh Yeah, did we mention there will be music?
Celebrating 10-plus years of sample-obsessed production and relentless touring, Gregg Gillis returns with All Day, his fifth album as Girl Talk, and his most epic, densely layered, and meticulously composed musical statement to date. Continuing the saga from the previously acclaimed albums, Night Ripper and Feed The Animals, Gillis lays down a more diverse range of samples to unfold a larger dynamic between slower transitions and extreme cut-ups. With the grand intent of creating the most insane and complex "pop collage" album ever heard, large catalogs of both blatantly appropriated melodies and blasts of unrecognizable fragments were assembled for the ultimate Girl Talk record (clocking in at 71 minutes and 372 samples).
Midwest Hype combines a blend of Funk, Reggae, Rock, Jazz, and Hip-hop they call "Urban Garage Jazz." They have an intense, high energy show with music that never drags and personalities that keep a smile on every face.
